Ashlee + Travis *Wedding*

    Ashlee and Travis had an intimately beautiful summer ceremony at The Pinery in Black Forrest which of course came along with the freely offered afternoon thunderstorm..... but I took advantage of the moody clouds and used them to create a romantic backdrop for the day.

    I told Ashlee that she looked like a Russian ballerina, not sure if she understood what I meant. I'm not even sure I can back that up with reasons, but she just has that porcelain beauty that belongs in a classical ballet, twirling on a huge spotlit stage... anyone else agree?

    The ceremony was quick but heartfelt and so lovely to photograph. We took some time after the ceremony and drove a couple minutes up the road to an open field and snapped away. These two were so fun to work with. They both informed me of how unphotogenic they thought they would be... but I have quickly come to the realization that when someone forewarns me with that statement, it almost always means the opposite,... as you will plainly see in the following photos. :)

    Thanks Travis and Ashlee! What an exquisite wedding to have been a part of.

    Karleen + Kevin *Wedding*

    I will begin this post with one of my favorite poems...

    How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
    I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
    My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
    For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
    I love thee to the level of everyday's
    Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
    I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
    I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
    I love thee with the passion put to use
    In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
    I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
    With my lost saints, - I love thee with the breath;
    Smiles, tears, of all my life! - and, if God choose,
    I shall but love thee better after death.

    -A poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

    Karleen and Kevin were just as I expected them to be on their wedding day, kind, gentle and you guessed it, in love.

    This particular wedding was very interesting... let me see if I can get this right... Karleen's older sister is married to Kevin's older brother, and Karleen's younger sister is dating Kevin's younger brother, and Kevin and Karleen just got married!!!! What are the odds of THAT happening?!? HA! I love it! Apparently great families attract great families!

    These were such sweet, wonderful people. I am honored. Honored to have witnessed such real love between two people. The Look on Kevin's face as Karleen walked down the aisle was so beautifully full of emotion. Some of the most memorable emotions I have caught all year. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in 30 years when Kevin and Karleen look through their wedding photos and are reminded of the feeling of passion and adoration they experienced on that sacred day so long ago.

    The gorgeous wedding venue is The Chateaux at Fox Meadows in Denver.

    haha!!

    It RAINED on and off all afternoon! We were all a bit nervous it would rain out the ceremony, but after a good 20 minute down pour, out came the sun and these RADIANT rainbows graced the sky! Talk about the right place at the right time!

    Favorite of the day!
