November 17 The week before Brian and I jetted off on our globe trotting adventure my life was so full I barely slept.
I had scrunched about 5 shoots and about 5 meetings into one week, which for me is a lot. I know to many photographers thats normal, but I am not one to over commit myself in hopes of preserving creativity. In this line of work, creativity is everything. I admire those who have sessions every day and can still function outside of having a camera plastered to their face.
Rebekah and Adam's shoot was scheduled 4 days before we were to leave and I had a wedding the next day, all of which was planned to be completed before landing in Italy.
Yes, I AM a crazy woman!
I was scrambling to gather my equipment as I frantically headed out the door to meet Rebekah and Adam for their E-session. I was feeling a bit frazzled and unorganized and had a slight fear of how I would perform under such circumstances. But the greatest thing happened.... Rebekah and Adam just so happened to be so incredibly comfortable in front of the lens and in front of each other. They were SO laid back that it put me at ease.
I was shocked at the crazy-amazingness that was coming from their faces to the camera. THEY were the superheros of the shoot.
Rebekah's dad works for the Navigators which is a company that basically has open access to Glen Eyrie Castle here in Colorado Springs. Over the past couple years Glen Eyrie has been very picky about who it lets in its gates and when, but we got right in without any fuss.
Glen Eyrie is famous for its fantastic waterfall, about a 20 min. hike away from the castle, and of course I had to take advantage of it.... because really, what is more romantic than kissing under a 25ft waterfall?
I am sure this has been a photo hot spot here in Colroado Springs forever, but surprisingly I have never photographed here and am so glad I did.
Thanks so much Rebekah and Adam, you guys could be professionals at getting your photo taken. I am so excited to do it again in January!
The grounds of Glen Eyrie and the light pouring in mirrored a scene from The Lord of the Rings, for a moment I though I was in The Shire...

the Elf Kingdom of Middle Earth

We also headed downtown for a change of scenery
